Previous Work

Prior to undertaking my PhD research I worked with the Carbon Foundation East Africa as a socio-economic researcher on an Ecosystem Services for Poverty Alleviation (ESPA) Project. This project looked at ecosystem services derived through organic soils and looked at linkages between soils livelihoods and poverty.

I have work with Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) as a technical Research Assistant working on a primary valuation of cultural ecosystem services for the European Options for Delivering Ecosystem-Based Marine Management (ODEMM) project, a socio-economic evaluation of the Scottish Beaver Trial which included non-market valuations and the Global Ocean Commission looking into high seas ecosystem services.

I have co-founded Wild Economics which provides grass-roots level assistance for organisations that conserve and enhance ecosystem service through remote valuations and data analysis.
